Seminar on Innovative Separation Technologies During WoTS 2026
During the World of Industry, Technology & Science (WoTS) 2026, the Separation Sciences Working Group will host an inspiring seminar in which experts present the latest developments in Separation Sciences within industry.
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Einstein Hall of the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore innovative applications of chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other advanced analytical techniques that play a central role in a wide range of industrial and societal challenges.
The diverse program demonstrates how Separation Sciences contribute to developments in areas such as medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical analysis, circular plastics recycling, and water quality monitoring. For example, Dr. Sylvia Roovers-Genet (Eindhoven University of Technology) will present the development of LC-MS/MS methods for the analysis of protein-related tumor biomarkers. Anupam Giri (NexPoint Materials) will show how an innovative application of GC-XSD technology can support the chemical recycling of plastics. In addition, Ir. Sven Blokland (Johnson & Johnson) will discuss new analytical strategies for the characterization of Adeno-Associated Viruses (AAVs), while Dr. Peter Fischer (Aqualab Zuid) will address the possibilities of non-target screening for water analysis.
